Totus Tuus

I found this on a another ladies blog and thought it was beautiful. I would print it but our printer isn't working so I'm posting on the side and am going to try and say everyday.

Totus Tuus

Immaculate conception, Mary, my Mother. Live in me. Act in me. Speak in and through me. Think your thoughts in my mind. Love, through my heart. Give me your dispositions and feelings. Teach, lead and guide me to Jesus. Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior. Possess my soul. Take over my entire personality and life. Replace it with yourself. Incline me to constant adoration and thanksgiving. Pray in me and through me. Let me live in you and keep me in this union always.

snow forts, clamato, and rolling over

I open the refrigerator and this what I saw. I guess I really am a true Mexican.

The famous snow fort. It's going to be in the News paper tomorrow and on the news tonight.

SOOOOOO CUTE!

For better of worse

Today it snowed, it snowed a lot. So much we were unable to make it to mass at 5:30. Mass actually ended up being canceled. It probably snowed 6 inches on our side of town, it was unbelievable.
Now for the venting. Being married is one of the best things but with good times comes bad times (for better or worse). In our case it seems to be that after having a new baby we tend to fight a bit more in the first few months. It's so much easier for the husband to be able to come and go as he pleases with no real planning of child care. I'm not going to go into why I'm frustrated, but just want to vent and know that someone understands me. Thats the thing too, husbands don't understand what you go through in a day and what sacrifices you make, which makes it so much more frustrating and the thing is they never will understand. Bobby thinks just because I'm a woman it's easier for me that I was born with patience. I told him patience is something we are not born with but have to learn. I think the hardest thing about being a mom is you feel unappreciated a lot of the time, but realizing this only makes me appreciate my mom 100 times more.
O kay I feel a little bit better.

It's finally happening

Isabella has been obsessed with blueberries ever since we splurge and bought some at Costco. Now she asks for them everyday. She's also obsessed with that skirt Erin made, she would wear it everyday if I let her.

My Aunt Norma made this adorable little hat.

What A good big brother reading to his sister.

Here's our backyard. That's where the addition is going. I didn't want to tell anybody that this was actually happening until ground was broken. It took almost 10 months for everything to go thru and a very determined husband. I told him I was proud of him, he say's I shouldn't be proud of him until the house is finished, so secretly I'll be proud of him.

Baby Whisper

I have to thank you Kelly for the Baby Whisper book. I'm only a quarter away through, but so far it has really helped me out. Since I live in a very natural town it seems to be the trend to let your baby lead the way, but this is unrealistic when you have two little ones under 1. Well maybe not unrealistic, but I don't like the person I become when I let the babies run the show, I become snappy and frustrated and resentful.
I think the problem with me is I tend to be a bit on the sensitive side, I want to guard my feelings, I don't want to feel guilty about anything, especially when it comes to raising children. I would feel guilty in the past when I would put Isabella to bed and let her cry herself to sleep. So I would read to her, sing to her and lay with her until she fell asleep. This would take an hour and a half, then I would have no time to spend with my husband because it would be 10:00pm.
But Tracy Hogg, the author is so realistic and understanding of parents. She has such a simple plan. I would write more, but I'm very sleepy and need to go spend some time with my husband. Thanks again Kelly.
