Drawings

Isabella loves to draw. It's really nice actually because she will sit for about and hour and just draw.
Here is some of her latest work.

Little Red Ridding Hood.

"Aint nobody here but us chickens."

Daddy came home with a surprise the other day.

2 Egg laying chickens!

Hard to sit patiently while the chickens explore their new home.

Then 2 days latter we got 2 eggs! Yummy.
Isabella wanted chicks to come out of them, but had to explain we needed a rooster for that to happen. She didn't question it.

Dinner time

I don't know how your family dinners go. I always imagined lots of smiles and full tummies when I imagined how my married life with children would go. It's actually quite the opposite, lots of frowns with what we are having, food being flung on the floor, standing in chairs, tears, whining ect. Sometimes they are nice, but I know at this season of our lives they are a little chaotic.
The other night we had a nice meal, everyone must have been hungry except me. I got up from the table to place my uneaten chicken salad in the fridge, the table was unusually quiet. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to ruin the moment, it was actually almost to quiet. Then Isabella out of no where yells, "NO FIGHTING!" We all busted up laughing and Bobby asked, "Why do you say that?" Isabella just laughed. I said, "I guess she felt it just needed to be said at least once."

bed time advice

I have just put the girls to bed. You would have thought abuse was happening, if you had heard the screams. Normally, I lay with them in our bed, and read stories and cuddle and sing until they fall asleep then move them. It's nice but I'm afraid a new routine is in order, with the new baby I don't think it will be possible to do it all since it takes almost and hour and half. After hearing the screams for "mama!" I'm torn. I question my self, "Am I doing the right thing? Is this natural? Will I scar them? They are only little once." But then I don't want to be any more stressed when the new baby comes. I do plan on reading to them and saying prayers and few songs, but I think what is important right now is getting them to feel safe in their own beds.
I need some input here, what do you do?
