Spring '09

We did it. We gave up our 4runner for a minivan. I made Bobby stand by the car to take his pic. I'm always so emotional I started tearing up when we left, because it was our first family car.
Silly I know.

This is actually not and Easter pic, though you would think it is because of the Easter egg. This is at a friends daughter's baptism in the court yard. There must have been a previous Easter hunt earlier in the week, the girls found the missing eggs.

Eva at the baptism.

Lucia playing with Malichai.

The basil is growing nicely.

Isabella loves doing the dishes with me.

The model and the bird watcher.

Enjoying ice cream on a rare sunny afternoon.

My baby is 3.

All day she couldn't stop sneeking peeks at her cake.

The cake.

Decorating Easter cookies with cousins.
Notice the entire bottle of sprinkles is dumped out.

Mo cookies!

welcome

Hello my name is Lisa Baker and I now drive a mini van.
I also wear my pants a little higher then my pre baby days to tuck in the fat I have leftover from the babies. I was not embarrassed today when my daughter exclaimed in public she had to go poop.
I think the fashion teens wear today looks ridiculous. I try to stay up pass 10 but never really seem to make it. I get really excited when I purchase a new table cloth. I find happiness when I see my children happy, and sadness when they are sad. Peace and quiet is a little more appreciated these days. A warm sunny day means a fun day at the park. I deal with poop everyday. I am the constant washer of the house, the dishes, the laundry the children, the floors, the tables ect. A bundle of dandelions pick for me by my kids is displayed proudly in a vase. I have someone to sing to now. Hello my name is Lisa Baker and I am a Mom.

not what you think

Isabella was sitting on my lap watching me play a word game on FaceBook (ughh...I'm so addicted I'm thinking about canceling my accout.) When Isabella saw this add up on the side of the screen. She said, "Look Mama it's you!"
I said, "You think that is mama?"
Isabella said," Yeah, what are you doing?"

Yes, I often dance around the house in these tight little outfits, they really are more comfortable then you think. Also my legs are nice an tan.

Songs that we sing

I am lucky to have two daughters that like my singing voice, it is often my favorite thing to do with them during the day and some of the best memories I will carry with me. Here are some of my favorites we sing (Maddie doesn't sing just listens and usually falls asleep). What are some of your lullabies?

Edelweiss Edelweiss
Every morning you greet me
Small and white
Clean and bright
You look happy to meet me

Blossom of snow may you bloom and grow
Bloom and grow forever
Edelweiss Edelweiss
Bless my homeland forever

Note: Isabella use to call Edelweiss "holy mice"

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby.
When you wake, you'll have cake,
And all the pretty little horses.

Black and bay, dapple and grey,
Coach and six little horses,
Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby.
Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby,
When you wake, you'll have cake,
And all the pretty little horses.

Way down yonder, down in the meadow,
There's a poor wee little lamby.
The bees and the butterflies pickin' at its eyes,
The poor wee thing cried for her mammy.

Hush-a-bye, don't you cry,
Go to sleepy little baby.
When you wake, you'll have cake,
And all the pretty little horses.
