Grumpy

Isabella has recently been watching the movie Snow White. She picked up one new word and it's meaning.

Me: Isabella you need to take a shower you smell like pee.

Isabella: No Mama, I'm grumpy, I will not make you happy if I take a shower.

really?

Really has 10 years past since high school? I had my 10 year reunion last weekend. It was so much fun and great to see everyone, it was almost like things hadn't changed. Well maybe we were all 1olbs heavier. I was 20lbs heavier but hid it with a special undergarment. I felt very much like Bridget Jones when she joins Mr.Darcy at the Ball and has to prevent him from putting his had around her waist to hide the fact she is wearing a girdle. I had to make sure of the same thing when hugs were going around. Later I found out I wasn't the only one;)
My class really isn't that small, only 18 of us show'd up out of 230?
I hope more show up next time.

Recipe for bread crumbs

I realized you couldn't read the text on the picture when I posted it so here it is again.

Maddie's secret recipe (past down from her mother):
Smoosh the bread crumbs between your thumbs. Then sneek them down behind your bum. When Mama pulls you from your chair, quickly crawl back if you dare. Then those bread crumbs taste even better smooshed between your gums.

Baking

I made my first homemade homegrown apples, apple pie. We ate it last night with home made ice cream it was yummy, really yummy. I've also been on this baking bread spree. I made 2 loaves of whole wheat bread last week and froze one and brought it out of the freezer Monday. Then yesterday I made white bread. I was thinking I would use the white bread for Parker's lunches. Also in the picture is my smoothie, I thought I would take a picture of my healthiness, it consists of spinach, mango's, carrot juice, and blueberries, yogurt and flax seed, despite it's ingredients it taste really good, also makes you feel really good. I think I have and iron deficiency along with a vitamin A so I've been trying to eat more spinach and carrots.

I don't know, what to do you want to do?

Yesterday we had some errands to run, leaving us with nothing to do when we were all finished, none of us wanted to go home. When Bobby and I noticed smoke over in the West side of town. We live in the West side of town, so we followed the smoke cloud and it lead us to a back road. There was a brush fire just starting out with a transiet leaving on foot with a back pack. We notice 3 other clouds of smoke not to far away from us. Bobby called 911 and reported the fire. Then an police officer showed up randomly and said that he hadn't gotten the call for this fire yet. Since all the resources were tapped out by the other 2 large fires the fire man and my husband were going to attempt to put it out with 2 fire extinguishers. We had to drive to another location to get a better hold of the fire. So the police officer escorted us with sirens and lights down a wrong way street to a warehouse. The owners of the warehouse had to be called to open the gate and Bobby hopped in the police car (the back of course) and off they went to go fight the fire. I waited in the parking lot with the two babies. I wasn't to nervous at first. Later I started praying when I saw flames shooting up over the top of the warehouse. About 40 mins later they returned and fire crews were on there way. Bobby and the officer put out one small fire, but the whole field went up in flames. Latter we were called down to site of one of the fires to identify some guys. We didn't see the guy I saw. What and adventure though, we went from nothing to do to fighting fires and police escort and identifying criminals. Here's the news story.

Letting go.

You might think by the way this blog sounds that my house would be immaculate, but it is not. There is so much to organize and so much to dust ( and no I'm not pregnant). So lately I have been trying to let go of the mess and play with my kids more and cuddle with my husband. I never would have thought that I would rather clean house then play and cuddle. If some one would have told me this before I had kids I would have laughed in disbelief. So I am consciously taking one step at a time to let go of the mess and take time out to hang with the people I love.

Things I don't want to forget (Inspired by Erin's blog)

The things I don't want to forget:

I remember the day I gave birth to Isabella and when I first saw her she was purple and blue. There was no cry but I knew she would be okay. I was crying, because I couldn't believe this little being was created in my belly and here she was ! I remember watching the nurses clear out her airways and she let out a big cry. They wrapped her in a blanket and placed her on my chest and I couldn't believe it, I just couldn't believe that this little baby was my daughter and I had to take care of her and keep her alive and healthy. I remember looking at Bobby and he gave me a gentle kiss. I think about that day a lot because I don't want to forget that feeling of newness. It was a feeling I had never felt before. Here she was brand new to the world.

Now jump 2 years:
I don't want to forget how she will play a game with me. She gives me a grin from across the room and tilts her head to the side and then runs into my arms.

I love how she loves to cuddle with me when I read her a story.

Madeleine:
I don't want to forget how Madeleine will lay her head on chest when I hold her and then flash me a smile. I love it how when she wants to be picked up she will crawl over to me and raise her arms and smile. I love to listen to her baby babel.

I don't want to forget that feeling of excitement when my water broke at 2 in the morning. We were finally going to meet this new little girl. All my questions were going to be answered ; What will she look like? Will she look like her sister or nothing at all?

To be continued........
