Today

Where do I begin?
I have just sat down with a full glass of wine. Bobby is holding the babe and Isabella is quietly playing with stickers (note to self, buy more stickers). Tell me Kelly that these terrible twos end. I think I might be able to hold on to some bit of sanity if I know these terrible twos will end in at least a year.
Today started off well. I was able to make some yummy coffee with a splash of eggnog and got Madeleine ready to go to our Dr. appt. Bobby is sick so he stayed home with Isabella.
I am not exaggerating, I arrived at the Dr.'s at 10:40 and left 1:40! I'm not exaggerating. I sat in the Dr.'s office for an hour. After and hour I was going to pop my head out of the door and say something, but a nurse pop her head in a goes, "oh good, your still here." What the heck!
The Dr. came in 20 minutes latter and checked out Madeleine. He asked me when her birthday was, I said, "10/21/07." He then said something about he birthday and Christmas being so close together. I didn't think anything of what he said, because I was so annoyed. Then he said he would like to see her when she is 2 months old. I said, "she is 2 months old."
The Dr. replied, "Oh I thought you said 12/21/07." Huh? Today's date is the 11th. I didn't say anything. The whole reason this appointment was schedule was to have a echo cardiogram on Madeleine's heart. But some how this was not scheduled. They were all very apologetic, and realized it was their fault, but really 3 hours! 3 hours of sitting in a yellow colored brick room, with no cell phone. I always carry books around with me thinking maybe some how I'll catch some down time. I forgot the books this time. Well in the end Madeleine heart is fine. She has a little hole in it, but should close up in a year. I'm not concerned she's healthy and happy.
Now I'm to tired to write the rest of my day. To make a long story short we decorated our tree tonight, it's beautiful, through a bit of chaos came beauty. I'll take a picture latter and post it.

Thank God for wine. I can not believe that doctor!!! Seriously, the dude must have been high. (Really, it happened to me once, but I was single, my doctor was totally high and he questioned me for over two hours.) You have got to start saying something. They should really know what jerks they are. Maybe you should get a new pediatrician. yikes.
They end. The terrible-2's, that is. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. John plays so nice by himself now and reads books and colors all the time. He still gets to be naughty, but it is far more manageable. I believe today is the feast or Our Lady of Quadalupe. We should especially pray and ask her intercession today for help with these crazy kids :)

3 hrs! Thank God Bobby was home sick to stay with Isabella. Your doctor sounds a little distracted.

That Dr. isn't her regular Dr. He is a pediatric heart specialist. So hopefully that is the last we see of him.

all i can say is that specialists tend to be a little...special. still, that's ridiculous he was such an idiot! i would have reported him or something. you handled the situation very graciously. i can't believe she's already 2 months, and isabella's already 2 years. crazy how fast life goes by. miss you guys!
