1st hair cut.

This was actually a few weeks ago, but this is Isabella's first hair cut at almost the age of 3.
Can you believe it! This is 3 years of hair growth! What little baldies I have. One snip was all it took and then it sprung up into curls.

What we've been up to.

Best Friends For Life.
Lucia and Isabella at the baptism.

So sweet.

Isabella loves Malichai.

She made jello all by herself and scooped in each piece of individual fruit.

Even purple poodles need to eat their dinner.

Guess what we had for breakfast that required a bath?

Chocolate Scones!
Isabella and I made Chocolate scones, they were actually really easy to make. If you want the recipe, let me know and I'll post it.

Father and Daughter.

I took a picture of myself, and I actually liked it, so here it is.

We went for a 3 mile walk and saw "camels" which were really lamas and we saw mini horses and big horses and we rented a movie and got cheetos.

Bouncing around at Bounce.

Sidewalk Chalk Drawings on a cold Day.

laugh of the night

Tonight Parker was getting ready for his Grandma Mary to pick him up and take him for the night. He found out on the phone his older Sister who is a freshman in high school had a few friends over.

Parker: Oh great! Grandma said that my sister has her friends over.

Me: Well what's wrong with that?

Parker: Well they always tease me and make fun of me and are mean to me.

Me: That's not very nice.

Parker: I know! That's why I'm bringing my Light Saber and Nerf Gun.

Me: (Trying not laugh out loud.) Oh yeah?

If not you then who?

When I went to bed last night (before Bobby and Isabella) the dishes were done, the house was clean, toys were put away. When I awoke for my, "before the break of dawn" aerobics class, I came down stairs and was instantly mad. Pots and pans in the sink, toys and blankets scattered everywhere. Arrrrghhhhhh! I said. Then left for my class.

I remember when I worked at Starbucks there was this quote posted in the back room, by the computer where you would punch in. " If not now then when? If not you then who?"
I have the answer to that question, it is the Mother that is who.

Maybe I'll go on strike, like that one mom did awhile ago, she lived in her front yard in a tent with some books, doesn't sound to bad, but it's freezing outside.

I tried

This morning I had my work out class, so I was up early and decided today would be a day we didn't watch TV, just to see what creative things I could come up with. Since I was up before the girls for once, I made this really delicious french toast with strawberries. Maddie was up before Isabella so I fed her and she appreciated my french toast. And then Isabella came out with her sparkly red shoes on and just her pj top. She refuses to eat my french toast and demanded strawberries (there are strawberries on it) on the toast. Then the whining started, and I could not reason with her. So I gave in and turned on Sesame Street and am currently hiding in the computer room to recharge my energy.
Lately she has been so defiant, she knows how to talk back well. This is a classic one, "Mama you don't talk to me like that!" She says this when I'm upset with her, or if I ask her to put away her toys, or she will TELL ME to pick up her toys. I can almost see the future fights with a teenage girl, about short skirts and boys. We just got out of the terrible twos and I had this sweet adoring little girl, now she talks back and doesn't try to please me as much. Oh the sacrifices you make as a mother and how unappreciated you are makes me appreciate my mother more, so I guess that's what it takes, I have to wait until she has children to feel appreciated. I am so humbled.
