Maternity Jean time.
This morning as I was getting dressed, I realized my one pair of jeans (sexy boot cut gap jeans) that fit me were dirty . Ketchup on the knees, mixed with some snot, no wet wipe could take those stains out.
I found my low rise size 10 gap jeans, and I wondered, "Maybe these will fit?"
And they did! I was feeling good, 27 weeks still no need for maternity jeans. Then I went downstairs to tidy up the house. I was standing at the sink doing dishes when Bobby comes into the Kitchen, "Oh honey, you really need some new jeans don't you?"

a sweet hearts story

Yesterday we had a full day of activities, Church, hamburgers & fries, 4 mile walk along the river, a visit with great Grandma. After all this we realized we really needed to go grocery shopping, so off to Winco we went.
Let me explain Winco. Winco is a grocery store, that has the best grocery prices in town. You will pay twice as much at any other store. You do have to bag your own groceries which as some of you know is a real pain with kids. It's also always busy and there is no express line. Most of the time peoples carts are full. You don't really want to go to Winco for just for a few items.
Well we are in Winco the girls are hungry and tired, I'm frazzled, and Bobby seems to have gotten lost in the bulk section. I go to find him and the girls see heart suckers lying in a bin (.32 cents for lb).
They beg me for them, so I use this as a bribe. Maddie holds the suckers in her hands and I have to remind her she cannot eat them until we pay for them. An hour latter we make it to the cash register, our items are swiped and Bobby is at the end of the conveyor belt bagging grocery's. I'm trying to prevent Maddie from grabbing stuff off the belt and Isabella is dancing around. Finally we see the suckers and I grab them off the belt before they get lost, at the bottom of a grocery bag. I open one up for Maddie and Bella and they are happy and quiet. We pay get our receipt and we are done. As we are walking out Maddie drops her sucker and the ground it gross. The corners of Maddie's mouth go down and she let out a heart breaking cry. I only got one for each of them. Bobby pulls out a quarter from his pocket and looks at those little quarter machines that sell cheap toys and asks her if she wants a little toy. Maddie sobs, "Noooooo.......... I want heart sucker." He looks at me and hands me the keys to the car. No words were spoken and I just gave him a stunned look as if he's crazy to go back in there again and wait in a long line for a sucker. I take the girls and cart full of groceries out to the parking lot and he braves Winco for a second time. 10 minutes latter he returns with a 3 heart suckers and Maddie smiles and lets out a small, "dank you dada."

bottoms up
Scene: Bath time has just finished. Isabella is bending over to put on her pjs. Maddie is naked and standing right behind her. She can't resist the temptation to pinch Isabella's bottom.
Isabella: Maddie don't touch my bottom!
Maddie: Oh, you don't want me touch your bottom?
Isabella No!
Maddie: You can touch my bottom.......(Maddie points her little bottom towards Isabella).......touch it.
Me: (laughing hysterically) hahahahahahahahah!
Maddie: Dat fonny mama?
Isabella: Maddie don't touch my bottom!

Digital memory
I just reread some of my past blog entries. I realized I would have forgotten some of this stuff if I would have never posted. So once again I will try really hard to blog more. Just need to find that camera charger.

She's 2!
I decided to write her a letter (something I'll try and do with each kid on their Birthday)
Dear Maddie,
When you entered the world and breathed your first breath of air, it was 2 years ago today.
For some reason I expected you to look just like your sister, but you didn't. You were your own person, same parents different person. I remember I slept with you in my hospital bed for 5 hours straight and the nurse came in and woke us up for you to eat. I think we were both irritated it was a rough day for the both of us. Now jump forward two years and you wake up with a smile every time. You get me out of my grumpy funk in the mornings when I walk into your room and you quickly jump up and yell, "Mama I wake up!" I love it how when you want to tell me something you tilt your head to the side and look me right into my face and tell me what you want. When you lay your head on my chest and I rest my head on your course curly hair, it warms me. You are the comedian of the family always looking for a laugh. I think you make me laugh everyday and it lightens my load. You are a blessing in every way. Happy Birthday my little love.
